The moisture absorption and caking of chemical fertilizer are the main problems in the storage of chemical fertilizer in rainy season. After caking, the commercial properties of chemical fertilizer deteriorate and it is difficult to realize mechanical application. Farmers are unwilling to buy. Even if the price is reduced, farmers take it back, which increases the labor force for crushing and caking. However, it is difficult to apply fertilizer manually, and the uneven application will burn seedlings. Generally, there are three ways of chemical fertilizer storage: warehouse storage, shed storage and open ground storage.
In rainy season, storage in warehouse is generally the main method. The warehouse shall be ventilated and cooled, dry, rainproof and moisture-proof. There are two storage methods of fertilizer in the warehouse: bulk storage and bag storage. For nitrogen fertilizer varieties with strong moisture absorption, such as ammonium硝酸盐、包存储应采用以避免d bulk storage. The storage time of other kinds of nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should not be too long. It is generally required to be packed in bags in the rainy season. Double layer bags shall be used for packaging, lined with plastic bags and wrapped with woven bags. Whether it is stored in bulk or in bags, in order to avoid caking, reduce the storage pressure and control the height of bulk stacking and bag stacking. For example, for large bags of 25-40kg, 20 bags in a pile is the appropriate height.
The storage mode of the goods shed shall be selected with extra care in the rainy season. The place of the goods shed shall be high, dry and ventilated, and the shed top shall be rainproof.
