When the samara matures and turns yellowish-brown, choose trees that grow robustly and are free of pests and diseases. The thousand-grain weight of winged seeds is about 33g, 30,000 seeds/kg, and the germination rate is 50% to 70%. The germination rate of dried seeds can be maintained for 3 to 5 years. Sowing seedlings is mostly used, both in spring and autumn.
滨州白色蜡苗选择深,肥沃,well-drained sandy loam as their nursery. Apply about 3000kg/667㎡ of organic fertilizer, turn it deeply and carefully, and make a bed for sowing. Seeds do not need to be treated in autumn, and sowed after harvesting in October. 10 days before spring sowing, the seeds are soaked in warm water at 10°C for 24 hours, and then the seeds are mixed with sand and stacked indoors for heat preservation. After the seeds are cracked, the seeds are sifted out and the seedlings of Binzhou white wax are sown in time.
For drilling, the row spacing is 30cm, and the soil is 1～2cm. Don't be too thick. The planting amount is about 10kg/667㎡. When there are 3 to 4 true leaves, the seedlings are fixed at a distance of 8cm. In the spring of the second year, the bed was moved and 3000-5000 plants were transplanted at 667 square meters to cultivate strong seedlings.
At the seedling stage of Binzhou white wax seedlings, attention should be paid to timely irrigation, soil loosening, weeding and top dressing. Ash trees can also be used to raise seedlings with cuttings, preferably 1 to 2 years of spring cuttings, and the method is the same as poplar cuttings.
